Kalamazoo Ski & Snowboard Festival at Michigan’s Timber Ridge Oct. 18

Gobles, MI – Saturday October 18th marks the Fourth Annual Kalamazoo Ski & Snowboard Festival, being held this year at Timber Ridge Ski Area in Gobles.
nThis year’s Festival highlights include a rail jam competition for all skill levels to be held at 5 p.m., with different rails to accommodate all skill levels. Entry costs $10 and a prize drawing will follow the event.

Live music will play on the deck and in the Snowshoe Bar with food and beverage service available. Exhibitors will set up booths staffed by product representatives showcasing the latest ski and snowboard gear. The Timber Ridge Ski Shop will give away prizes and offer gear discounts.

Finally, Teton Gravity Research’s 2008 action sports movie, “Under The Influence” will premiere at 9 p.m. The Jackson Hole, Wyo.-based film crew scattered across the planet as they filmed virgin spines in Alaska, cowboy park jumps at Grand Targhee, pillow popping deep in the Northwest, relentless powder in the Jackson Hole backcountry and more. Tickets are available at the door for $10.

The event is being held at the Timber Ridge Ski Area, approximately eight miles northwest of Kalamazoo. The ski area will also be hosting a Ski and Snowboard Swap that runs November 7nd through the 9th.
