World Cup Supply Boosts Support to Ski Teams and Race Events in Canada

Calgary, Canada – Fairlee, Vt.-based World Cup Supply, Inc. (WCS) and its European partner SPM are providing a boost Canada’s national Alpine and Ski Cross teams as well as ski race events in Canada.nWCS, the North American distributor of the SPM line of ski racing products, is now the exclusive gate supplier to Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA) as part of a new four-year partnership.

“Other than our supplier roles in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and more recently in Vancouver, this is the most significant undertaking in our 19-year history,” said WCS President Brad Williams. “Our role will be to satisfy the gate needs for ACA in North America while SPM will handle the needs of Canadian teams while they are training and competing in Europe. This agreement also means that WCS will be involved in the World Cup races held at Lake Louise, all Nor-Am events, and the Canadian Championships races.”

Williams added, “Not only will we be supplying gates and other on-hill supplies to the men’s and women’s national alpine teams; we will also be working with the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team and the Canadian Ski Cross Team. Their needs are extensive and we are honored to be selected to supply all of the ACA teams. Canada is a very important market for WCS and our business there has expanded significantly over the past three years.”
