North Powder, OR – A Portland, Ore. man died Thursday afternoon after striking a tree while skiing at Ski Anthony Lakes.nReed Moncsko, 24, was skiing with a friend Thursday afternoon when they became separated. Moncsko’s friends set out looking for him when they found his body after 3 p.m. According to the Union County Sheriff, Moncsko struck a tree and died of head and neck injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
