London, UK – NBC Sports has added professional snowboarder Shaun White to its list of commentators broadcasting from the Olympic Games in London. White will sit in the NBC broadcast booth commentating on gymnastics during Thursday’s women’s individual all-around final.

In addition to owning the Olympic men’s snowboarding half pipe crown and multiple Winter X Games snowboard super pipe medals, White has also claimed numerous skateboard vert titles at the X Games. White skates in the summer and snowboards in the winter, leaving him roughly six months to compete and practice the individual sports each year.

White, however, has never set foot on a gymnastics mat, although he does have some experience in the broadcast booth. Prior to joining the NBC Olympics broadcast team, White served as a skateboard analyst for NBC’s coverage of the Dew Tour. He has also served as an analyst for ESPN during the network’s coverage of the Summer X Games.
