Night Club at Big Sky Completely Built from Snow

Big Sky, MT – Walls of snow, a dazzling array of lights and lasers, bartenders in parkas, and one raging DJ creates Big Sky Resort’s famous Snobar on January 17 and 24.

Après-ski fun for this 21-and-over venue begins around 5 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m. next to the Swifty 2.0 terrain park, above the loading station of the Montana ski and snowboard resort’s Swift Current chair lift, near the  Mountain Village.

Each year, Big Sky Resort’s Terrain Park crew changes the Snobar in shape and size and will be revealed on January 17. Entry to the nightclub, built completely from snow by grooming machine and hand with a lighted ceiling roughly 12 feet high, costs $5.00 cash at the “door” and includes a complimentary glow stick. Bozeman’s DJ 5 Star will be pumping the music as people show their dance moves in ski boots, snowboard boots, or any ol’ shoe they feel comfortable in while dancing on snow.

“Snobar is uniquely Big Sky Resort. It’s one of those signature events you can’t experience anywhere else in Montana and few other places on earth,” said Anna Husted, Big Sky Resort Event Manager. “It’s blast from beginning to end. It’s a bucket list event for anyone.”
