Ski Resorts in Quebec’s Eastern Townships Revive Long Lost Association

Eastern Townships, QC, Canada – Several decades ago, four resorts in Quebec’s Eastern Townships — Bromont, Mont Orford, Mont Sutton and Owl’s Head — joined forces along with Jay Peak Resort in Vermont for a multi-mountain, multi-day lift ticket called Ski Dans l’Est.

Although that promotion was abandoned many years ago, and Jay Peak is no longer in the mix, those four Quebec resorts all located between Montreal and Sherbrooke are working together once again to offer a regional lift ticket deal.

This new promotion, a passport card that costs C$25, gives card holders a 25% discount on lift tickets at the four ski areas. The 25% discount also applies to hotels, spas and tourist attractions in the region that are participating in the program. The passport may be used as often as the holder likes throughout the 2014-15 ski and snowboard season, and there are no blackout dates.

The Ski dans l’Est Passport can be purchased online at www.skidanslest.com.

Participating hotels include Manoir des Sables, Auberge du Mont Orford and Estrimont Suites & Spa (all in Orford), and at Hôtel Château-Bromont, Auberge Spa Le Madrigal and St-Martin Bromont Hôtel & Suites, all in Bromont. The passport is also valid at Spa des Chutes de Bolton in Bolton East, at Spa Algua Sulis in Sherbrooke and at Parc du Mont Hatley in North Hatley.

Skiers traveling from Ontario should be reminded that highway officials recently opened an extension to Autoroute 30, a bypass on Montreal’s South Shore that can cut down the driving time to the Eastern Townships by avoiding traffic congestion on the island of Montreal.
