Jones’ vehicle was found parked at the Cabriolet lot at Canyons Village. Searchers with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Summit County Search and Rescue, and Park City Ski Patrol have been scouring the resort and the adjacent backcountry but have found no sign of Jones.

Search efforts were halted last night on account of darkness, and are set to resume at first light this morning.

Jones is said to be a skilled skier who’s very familiar with the terrain, and was wearing an avalanche transceiver.
