New Mountaintop Condo-Hotel Planned for Pennsylvania’s Blue Mountain

Palmerton, PA – Plans to build a luxurious 4-star condominium resort hotel alongside the Vista trail, atop Blue Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania have been announced.

The new Vista Lodge will offer studio, one, two and three bedroom ski-in/ski-out condominiums ranging from 400 to 2,200 square feet, for purchase or rent. It’s planned to be built adjacent to Blue Mountain’s Summit Lodge at an anticipated cost of $20 million to $30 million. All will come fully furnished with full kitchens, and the property will include a Members Club Room, fitness center, indoor/outdoor year-round heated swimming pool and hot tubs, private lockers for owners, and valet and bell service.

The property was rezoned from rural conservation to resort-residential in 2003, allowing for the construction of residences. Expansion of Blue Mountain’s sewage treatment facility to accommodate condominiums was approved in 2006.

Blue Mountain has established an information desk for Vista Lodge this winter, located in the Summit Lodge adjacent to the ticket windows. Pending permit approvals, resort officials hope to begin construction of Vista Lodge in spring 2017 with a planned completion date of late 2018. Ideas floated earlier for an indoor water park at Blue Mountain remain on hold.
