Comox Valley (BC), Canada - With over a month left in the winter season, Mount Washington achieved a significant benchmark in terms of snowfall last week. The British Columbia resort's accumulated snowfall passed 13 meters (512 inches) for only the second time in resort history. To celebrate, Mount Washington will reopen for an extra two weekends of skiing and snowboarding this spring.
Teton Village, WY - Saturday's U.S. Ski Mountaineering Championship presented by Marmot, is an endurance race without equal. Now in its 10th year the "Randonée Rally," as it is often referred to, takes participants on a human-powered wild ride through some of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's (JHMR) most exciting terrain.

Maggie Valley, NC - Officials at North Carolina's Cataloochee Ski Area have decided to extend its 2009-10 ski and snowboard season for two additional weekends. Beginning March 27, skiers and riders will pay weekday rates for day skiing sessions only on March 27 and 28 as well as April 3 and 4. Hours of operation on those dates will be 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Whistler (BC), Canada - Lauren Woolstencroft, of North Vancouver, British Columbia, added more gold to an already impressive medal collection Wednesday at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Whistler.
Mansfield, OH - Ohio's Snow Trails ski area in Mansfield will wrap up its ski and snowboard season on Saturday with $15 lift tickets and a party on and off the slopes.
Olympic Valley, CA - An event half a century in the making, California's Squaw Valley ski resort is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary of hosting the 1960 Olympic Winter Games with the Sprint U.S. Freestyle Championships as Olympic medalists and the sport's best compete for U.S. titles March 26-28.
McPhie takes second in moguls season title

Sierra Nevada, Spain -
Eliza Outtrim, of Steamboat Springs, Colo., closed out the World Cup ski season in a big way Thursday as she took the win to mark the first podium performance of her career during Friday's moguls competition in Spain. She was joined on the podium by teammate Heather McPhie, of Bozeman, Mont., who was third behind Margarita Marbler of Austria.
Stockholm, Sweden - Less than a week after landing on the World Cup podium, Kikkan Randall, of Anchorage, Alaska, again led the U.S. Ski Team, finishing 15th during a sprint in Sweden on Wednesday.

The Mono County, Calif. Sheriff's Department is reporting that a 27-year-old snowboarder has died following an accident Friday at Mammoth Mountain ski area.
Bend, OR - With 324 inches of snowfall thus far this season, Oregon's Mount Bachelor has outlined its plans to provide skiing and snowboarding through May 16.
Park City, UT - Park City Mountain Resort announced on Tuesday that the Utah ski and snowboard resort has partnered with VacationRoost to outsource the operation of Park City Mountain Central Reservations.
