Bretton Woods, NH - Bretton Woods opened for skiing and snowboarding 11 a.m. this morning to offer the season's first skiing in New Hampshire. Tickets are complimentary today on Thursday only for all ages.

“We have finally had a good stretch of cool weather for around-the-clock snowmaking on top of what we had already been making at every opportunity. We’ve also had a few snow flurries this week here at Bretton Woods to blend into it,” according to Chris Ellms, Director of Ski Operations for Bretton Woods.

Skiing and riding is available today on three trails off the Bethlehem Express High Speed Quad, on freshly groomed man-made packed powder and powder surfaces. For Friday, there will be four trails off the Bethlehem Express. Terrain park elements, including two rails and a fun box, will be set up for early-season jibbing. Early season lift ticket rates beginning on Friday are at a reduced rate of $39 for Adults and Teens, $29 for Juniors and $25 for Seniors. The Learning Center Quad will also be turning with a lift ticket rate of $15 per person and will access beginner terrain on Rosebrook Meadow.

Snowmaking will continue around the clock and more trails and lifts are planned to open for the weekend. Lifts will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends (and holidays) and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. midweek throughout the season.

This weekend, Lucy Crawford’s Food Court will be open along with the Slopeside Pub. In addition, the Rental Shop will have equipment and repair services available; and the Red Carpet Ski School will be offering private lessons only based on availability and current conditions.
