“We are excited to kick off our winter season with this fresh new event concept,” says Steve Paccagnan, President and General Manager at Kicking Horse. “The comedy festival is a great way to celebrate opening weekend without putting too much stress on your rusty ski legs. Between laughing and riding some of the best terrain in the world, it will be one of our greatest opening weekends ever.”
The Comedy Festival runs Friday, December 12th to Saturday, December 13th over KHMR’s official winter season opening weekend.
The Friday evening show will feature three stand-up comedians performing in the Day Lodge including headliner Simon King. Saturday evening’s entertainment includes a dinner theatre show at the mountaintop Eagle’s Eye restaurant with a "Rubber Chicken" themed dinner. The entertainment will include various short skits by "The Late Night Breakfast Club" from Calgary.
Opening weekend Comedy Festival packages start from CDN $295 per person, double occupancy, and include two nights at the Palliser Lodge, two days of skiing and tickets for the stand-up evening at the Day Lodge.
Combined tickets for both shows are CDN $100 including the Friday stand-up and Saturday dinner theater. Single tickets for the Friday stand-up are $30 and the Saturday Dinner Theater is $80. Purchase your tickets before Monday, December 8th and get entered in a draw for a free SNOWMAX Ski Card.
