The charity event will be a family-friendly experience where guests will be able to mix and mingle with Winter X Games 13 athletes, listen to a special musical performance by professional snowboarder and longtime Winter X Games competitor Tara Dakides, enjoy fireside food and drinks, bid on silent auction items including an autographed Jake Burton snowboard and a Limited Edition Winter X Games 13 Fender Telecaster, and much more.
"We are proud to work with two organizations that deeply care about educating our audience about cancer - The V Foundation through cancer research and Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) through breast cancer awareness and early detection,” said Rachel Mack, director of corporate outreach for X Games organizer ESPN. “Together, we are excited to host this unique event and we thank our sponsors for allowing us this opportunity for people of all ages to learn about our cause at the Winter X Games.”
"Being onsite at Winter X Games as part of Team ESPN with The V Foundation is always a powerful way to start our educational outreach season," said Justine Chiara, executive director of Boarding for Breast Cancer. "This joint fundraiser is a great opportunity to take our relationship with The V Foundation off the mountain and into the Aspen community. I'm honored to have this association with a cancer research-supporting organization that shares a similar approach to education as B4BC."
