Findley Lake, NY - Break out your skis and snowboards, for Peek'n Peak Resort and Spa will host their 22nd annual Fall Festival this weekend and next from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and the event features a rail jam each weekend. Those who don't bring gear may find some at a ski and snowboard swap at the festival.


The Fall Fest Rail Jams return to this year's event both this Saturday and next Sunday, Oct. 18, from noon to approximately 3 p.m. each day. The Rail Jams are a popular pre-season event for ski and snowboarding enthusiasts complete with music on the slopes and prizes from Erie Sports Store and the Ski Chalet.

Also continuing this year is the Snowsports sale & swap in the Peek’n Kids Learning Center inside the Main Lodge. Proceeds from the swap benefit the Peak Junior Race team.

This year’s festivities also include a craft show with over 90 vendors, ski lift rides among the turning leaves, a farmers’ market featuring locally grown products, horse drawn carriage rides, a petting zoo, pony rides and more. Kids are welcome to enjoy crafts, bounce houses, activities and entertainment with magician Bruce Kikola, juggler Bob Nickerson, the Cap’n Kids Pirate Show and more. This Sunday, the 12th annual Turning Leaves Classic Car Cruise-in will ride in to the Peak. There is a $2 donation to park, a 50/50 drawing and door prizes with proceeds benefiting Shriner’s Hospital.

New for 2009, the Peak has asked that guests bring a can of food for local charity in exchange for free admission to the ski area's autumn celebration.
