Vail, CO - With the dollar stretched and the constant push and pull of vacation getaway offers advertised on every corner, organizers of gay ski weeks in Colorado at Vail and Telluride are upping the ante to draw in visitors this winter.

The producers of Telluride Gay Ski Week 2010 have brought on board the Matthew Shepard Foundation, one of the leading GLBT education, advocacy and awareness organizations in the United States, as its 2010 Presenting Sponsor. Meanwhile, Vail Gay Ski Week 2010 organizers are giving each guest a complimentary two-night lodging package in Las Vegas when booking two or more nights' accommodations through the event's website at any of the hotel and condo properties offered.

"As home to the largest ski resort in the U.S.A., Vail Gay Ski Week will provide an affordable ski destination within easy access of the GLBT community in Denver and those traveling to Denver," said Tommy Z. Hoffman, founder of Vail Gay Ski Week. "We are excited to offer this exclusive travel offer to our guests to thank them for supporting our event."

Matthew Shepard’s mother and chair of the foundation that bears his name, Judy Shepard, will be attending Telluride Gay Ski Week 2010 along with other representatives of the organization.

“We are pleased to have partnered with such a well-known event that brings positive visibility to the GLBT community in the United States and around the world,” said Jason Marsden, executive director of the Mathew Shepard Foundation. “This event provides an ideal platform for our education, advocacy and awareness work.”

Vail Gay Ski Week 2010 will take place Wednesday, Jan. 27 through Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010. Telluride Gay Ski Week 2010 will take place from Saturday, Feb. 20 to Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010. For more information visit www.vailgayskiweek.com or www.telluridegayskiweek.com.
