Jay Peak will open on Saturday with the Jet Triple Chair accessing the Jet trail from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Lift tickets will be reduced to $39 for adults and $25 for juniors. Lift tickets and food will both be served at the Stateside lodge, but those needing rental or demo gear will have to head over to the new and improved shop on Tramside. The Hotel Jay will be open, too, and the Alpine Room Restaurant will be serving breakfast and dinner.
The ski resort's new Tram Haus Lodge now looks to open earlier than expected, with lodging available as of Dec. 18 at pre-holiday rates. The new Aroma's Café will open Dec. 17 and the Tower Bar will start serving drinks (and some food) Dec. 18.
