The seminar is designed to heighten awareness of conditions that lead to avalanche, and what to do in the event of a slide. Emcee Craig Ferguson will moderate the event, highlighted by a presentation from guest speaker Mark Woodward who has recently returned from an expedition up Mount Everest in the Himalaya Mountains of central Asia.
The two-hour event begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Queenstown. Donations will be accepted to aid the Bruce Grand Youth Trust.
