Registration for the ski race begins at 8:00 a.m. in Earl's Lodge. A $20 fee includes a lift ticket and commemorative T-shirt. The rest of the day will feature a BBQ and free concert featuring the Kap Brothers from noon to 5 p.m.
For summer operations, the Needles gondola will be in operation every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with gondola dining access to Needles Lodge atop the ski area from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays.
In addition to hiking, biking, casual and fine dining, a Sunday concert series will continue this year through October 4. The free concerts are schedule from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., with September concerts ending at 6:00 p.m. An elaborate BBQ is available beginning at 1:00 p.m. The wide variety of musical entertainment as well as the BBQ will take place in the Wildflower Meadow in front of the ski resort's Grizzly Center.
"The new concert location will accommodate the growing attendance, and has been selected to provide a festive and cooler setting to enjoy the afternoon," said Jodi Holmgren, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
Limited picnic table seating is available to enjoy the Snowbasin BBQ, and guests are invited to bring blankets or chairs for festival seating on the grass.
