Whistler (BC), Canada - Same as it ever was: in what appears to be the 2010 Olympics revisited, the second downhill training run at the 2010 Paralympics Winter Games in Whistler, originally scheduled for today at 11:30 a.m. local time, was canceled due to fog. There will be another training run tomorrow, weather permitting, starting at 11:30 a.m.
After trying to make the training run happen for more than three and a half hours, the Paralympic race organizing committee decided that it was safer for the athletes to cancel the training run altogether.
The Paralympic downhill medal event is scheduled to take place Saturday.
