Eden, UT - Utah's Powder Mountain ski area is declaring the official start of Spring Skiing Season with the switch to Daylight Savings Time today. March and April generally bring some of the bigger snowstorms of the season to the Wasatch Mountains, but the sunshine and soft snow changes the attitude of guests from serious skiers to beachcombers on the slopes.

To enhance the springtime party ambiance, season pass holders from any ski resort worldwide can take a break from their home resort and try out Powder Mountain. Simply show a current season pass at any Powder Mountain ticket window on Monday through Friday to purchase an adult all area pass for $40, a 31% discount.

Local residents who do not own a season pass can still receive savings by showing their Utah driver's license. Weekday prices for local residents are $45 for an adult pass and $30 for seniors ages 62 to 69.

Spring also brings corn snow to the backcountry served by the Snowcat Powder Safari. On March 22, prices will be reduced $20 to $330 per person. The Snowcat Powder Safari continues running long after the lift-served ski resort closes, so the price will be reduced a second time to $175 per person on April 15th.
