Tignes, France - Jenny Jones went into Friday's Winter X Games Europe Women's Snowboard Slopestyle final in the number one spot after she led the entire field in eliminations on Wednesday. Jones takes home her first Winter X Games Europe gold after taking home gold at Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo., in both 2009 and 2010 – the first woman from Great Britain to earn a Winter X Games medal.
Tignes, France - Last month at Winter X Games 14 in Aspen, Colo., Kaya Turski and Keri Herman finished one and two, respectively, in Skiing Slopestyle. In today's Skiing Slopestyle at Winter X Games Europe in Tignes, they repeated their results.
Denver, CO - A tough economy and below-average snowfall has resulted in a challenging year for ski resorts in Colorado.
McLean, VA - According to the SnowSports Industries America (SIA) Retail Audit Report released this week, Snow Sports market sales reached $2.26 billion in January with a .4% gain in dollars sold compared with August through January last season.
Park City, UT - Park City Mountain Resort will host a Shred-a-Thon benefiting the Salt Lake City Chill Program this Saturday. Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the 120 inner-city youth from Salt Lake City that participate in the local non-profit instructional program.

Olympic Champion Lindsey Vonn locked in yet another accolade this season as she clinched her third straight Audi FIS World Cup Overall title with a stunning super G victory in Germany on Friday.

Park City, Utah's Ted Ligety added to his trophy collection Friday as he clinched the second Audi FIS World Cup giant slalom title of his career with a third-place result in the season's final event in Germany, which was won by Carlo Janka of Switzerland, who locked the men's overall World Cup title with the win.
Sutton (QC), Canada - Skiers and snowboarders at Quebec's Mont Sutton will have fun while supporting special benefits this Saturday and again on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. They'll contribute to two important causes while out shredding the slopes.
Huntsville, UT - Two days of events have been scheduled at Snowbasin to benefit Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation (SASEF), a non-profit organization providing snowsports opportunities to the disabled community to enjoy with their families and friends. The weekend will help SASEF raise funds to purchase additional adaptive equipment and programs.
Lake Placid, NY - Lake Placid, host of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games, is poised to welcome over a dozen Olympians later this month including three-time medalist Julia Mancuso (Olympic Valley, Calif.) and 2006 gold medalist Ted Ligety (Park City, Utah) when the 2010 U.S. Alpine Championships roll into Whiteface Mountain in the nearby town of Wilmington, March 20-23.
Vancouver (BC), Canada - For two weeks in February, British Columbia was home to international athletes and sport fans during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Now Canada's westernmost province is celebrating once again with the arrival of the Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver and Whistler.
Valmalenco, Italy - The second to last stop of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup tour will take this weekend in Italy. As happened in both 2008 and 2009, Valmalenco will once again host decisions in three different disciplines. More than 100 women and 150 men from more than 20 countries are entered in competitions in snowboard cross, parallel giant slalom and halfpipe.
Whistler (BC), Canada - Same as it ever was: in what appears to be the 2010 Olympics revisited, the second downhill training run at the 2010 Paralympics Winter Games in Whistler, originally scheduled for today at 11:30 a.m. local time, was canceled due to fog. There will be another training run tomorrow, weather permitting, starting at 11:30 a.m.
Park City, UT - Silver medalist Brett Camerota, a member of the team that earned the first-ever U.S. medal in the Olympic Nordic Combined team relay in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada last month, will be at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City on Friday to meet aspiring kid athletes in his own hometown.
Snowbird, UT - Utah's Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort will be hosting a winter Stargazer event this Saturday. The evening includes a Tram ride with local astronomers for an informative presentation before unloading on Hidden Peak where participants will view the night sky at 11,000 feet through high-powered telescopes.
