    Jay Peak 2/21 morning report

Not much of a report to add but... Saturday 21st (this AM) at Jay was *** epic *** . One of my 10 best pow days ever. MANY waist+ plus deep carves and endless mouthfuls of snow. If you can get there — try — well worth it especially if they get more snow. Stoked. \:D/

    First trip to Jay Peak

Good point Big Jay - if you're taking the flyer (freezer) make sure you'd dressed warm, if the cold gets intense at the top of the rise; twist on the chair and turn your back towards the wind. Well worth the "pain" though. Have fun! Stop and look around at how beautiful the MTN is.

Mt. Glenn - 2/24 and 2/25 (linked photos)

Just wondering if anyone knows about any updates to this story ? We drove past saturday and noticed (non operational) chairs on the left most liftline and new signs up saying "no trespassing". no one seemed to be parked to hike. We also couldn't see many (any?) tracks on the runs. Anyone ?

    Jay Peak 12/15/07

The lack of crowds today was almost spooky ... especially as I arrived way early and got the first freezer behind ski-patrol. No one behind me for a good 10 chairs. I left at 11am (had to get back to MTL early) and the parking lots were still pretty thing considering. Some great runs had today...

Jay Peak, VT: 03/18/07 (Best day of the Season)

The mountain is such a different place from mid-January. The snow that fell really seemed to stay in place.

Some photos from the Jay back-country today... St Paddy's Day & Big Jay Super POW http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevey/sets/72157600007983967/ (not great quality // damn lense fogged & couldn't keep the snow off it)

I agree.. one of my best Jay days ever. We did 5 runs this AM then hit Big Jay. I'm not even gonna describe what that was like because to be honest I don't know how. Best run I've ever done in my life. Hands down. :D

I can also attest to the awesomeness of Sunday. 1st tracks 7th chair up on the flyer @ 8:35am. Dropped in to whiteout/fogged powder conditions until the mid point of that side of the Mtn. After that - one of the best "on the run" pow lines I've ever had. Not a track in front of me and silky...

Mt. Glenn - 2/24 and 2/25 (linked photos)

I hadn't heard anything more than what was posted. We weren't exactly anxious to talk with the "impromtu guard" at the gate (in order to feign innocence if need be). Will keep my ears open. The place is really run down and would take a lot of $ to get back to even operational as a ski hill...

Mt. Glenn - 2/24 and 2/25 (linked photos)

(A bit brief as I'm at work - but hopefully photos make up for that) After driving down to the cottage on Friday night just south of Orford, half way to Owl's head and seeing the immense amount of snow all around, we decided to forego the lines and crowds at Jay peak and hike Mt Glenn (closed...

    Advice on Next Weekend

Some of my best days have been at Jay when most lift's were on wind delay leaving one or two (max) allowing access to the top. You have to do a bit of walking to get to the "other parts" but... (the only bummer is when ALL upper Mt lifts close - but this rare) :D
