winter sports video editing

Postby max7 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 9:30 am

Hi everyone,

I just bought a action cam, lots of my friends have one and now I can create my own movies.
I was wondering if their are people who edit their own movies? What software do you use and how much time does it cost to learn?
Of course it must be easy to learn because I'm not the most creative person.

A other thing I was thinking about is to hire a freelance editor?! someone who did that before ?

The hardest parts of editing - anything, really - is deciding what story you want to tell, what footage to keep, what to throw out, what order to show things, what kind of transitions to use, and finally what your sound track is going to be like. The actual software decision is trivial by comparison. Even if you hire a freelance editor, anyone who's reasonably good is going to ask you all those questions.
