Ski Boots - Los Angeles

I bought my last two pairs from Claude at Skinet. I considered Surefoot but just couldn't swallow the cost. I have wide hard to fit feet and Claude's made me happy both times.

I think we called Skinet about Liz. I forget what the issue was, but they were rather inflexible. I bought my last boots at Mammoth. Big advantage there is you can demo, go out for a couple of hours, come back for tweaks. Both Footloose and Kittredge are competent. Footloose is the place if you have a hard to fit situation. Corti Lawrence at Footloose finally resolved Liz' two year boot soap opera.

With the widespread demise of both specialty ski shops over the past 20 yeas plus Sport Chalet in 2016, I am in general not inclined to shop for ski gear in SoCal. I have bought my last two ski jackets at season end sales at REI.

Skinet is inflexible for sure. If you live in LA, honestly buy there, you'll be happy. He's really good if you can put up with a bit of an attitude. Nice to support local too.
