I didn't realise that the flight time to Chitose is 13+ hours from Australia; for some reason I thought that it was eight or nine. At least you don't have to deal with jet lag.Tony Crocker wrote:As on my trips, I'd advice James to commit zero $ to lodging in advance for next March. Unless I'm writing an article -- where the agenda is set in stone by a host region -- or there are no real bail-out possibilities (e.g. the upcoming Pyrenees visit to a certain extent), I always keep my lodging and/or ski-area options open within reason. I'd like to think that my mostly stellar Alps record over the past 15 years makes that clear.

I hope to get a couple of days at Revy before Mustang, but afterwards I will not get any, and may not even spend night in Canada.Tony Crocker wrote:Tseeb will not be in Canada much before or after Mustang

Not sure after that
I bought my two teens the Rocky Mountain Super Pass, which has unlimited skiing at some resorts like Winter Park, and a certain number of days at others (for Steamboat - 6 days, which is just the amount I needed), plus the opportunity to buy $99 friends and family tickets.
Since the Alps might be too much for my teens, we'll try pistes on the Carpathians mountains.
