Anyone from Utah?

Aloha,
Here's my deal. I am a student at a Grand Valley State University, in West Michigan. With graduation squarely in sight I am going to live the only dream i have really had...to be a ski bum in the real mountains! Salt Lake City is my top prospect, only one problem. I have never been to Utah. I don't know where to start looking for cheap housing, ticket packages, jobs...ect I'm looking for a contact that could counsel me in the ways of bumming.
