WY cites JHMR for not providing helmet to patroller

Even though I think that a helmet is an important piece of gear for skiing, I still believe the choice to wear one should be made on an individual basis. I don't exactly agree with the concept of fining a resort for the idiocy of an employee. Furthermore, who is to say that a helmet prevents this tragedy from happening anyways. One could argue that this is akin to putting a seatbelt on in a car, which is now a law in most states. I disagree with that assertion as the vast majority of accidents/falls on the mountain happen in ways where a helmet offers no protection...i.e. falling on your butt.

Will they soon fine the resorts for not making it mandatory to wear an avy lung during a powder day?
