Big Rain Event Coming to your neighborhood ski hill!!!

I was just checking out the GFS and it looks like next monday will have a major rain event that will reach pretty much everywhere in North East. The next big storm the gfs is showing is on friday and that could be a major snow storm, however, that is a long way away. The rain seems more certain.

All the models have been advertising this for the last 10 days , just didn't want to bring it up..Bad karma/juju...

Yea, going to be very ugly here Sunday night into Monday. Warm (in the 40's) with heavy rain and rain may reach all the way up to the Canadian border. It's too bad because the skiing has been quite good for most of this month on any trails with snowmaking. It is supposed to turn colder once the rain passes by (can you spell "ice"?) with snow possible later in the week. It will take ski areas a little while to build up a decent skiing surface again. Ah, life in New England!

Facing the rain like a man..The heavier the better, hope it's followed by a deep freeze..I keep my skis razor sharp (2deg side bevel)..I can carve a turn on diamond... :stir:
