Greek Peak Summer

Not a lot of obvious work going on this summer at the Peak. Was there at my parents place for a day and a half...

The adventure center is fun, but way overpriced for most of the activities. They certainly have very nice operational margins on that, but drive so much volume away with the pricing that the overall margin might not be that great once the capital investment is paid for...

Once upon a time there might be a total of 2-3 cars driving around in an entire summer day up there, now with the hotel and adventure center there are at least signs of life, even if not exactly a lot of life. Interesting check-up on the place.

At Mammoth that deck would be elevated that high to accommodate a typical winter snowpack. I'm guessing you're hiking that staircase all year long at Greek Peak.

Well, last years 6" base depth would've covered exactly zero steps...

Does the mountain coaster drip oil on riders like the ski lifts?

Fortunately there are no moving parts above anyone's head level to drip. Idiot proof from a grease perspective? Actually pretty fun, though overpriced by a couple shekels.
