Arrived at the hill late today (10.30 am) and not a good sign seeing guys drinking beer at bar at 10.30 in the morning. A damp overcast flat light day out on the mountain with the summit obscured in clouds and a stiff breeze blowing to say the least. The trails took a pounding from the rain ( Friday jan 12 ) and have yet to recover. Glades that are open are scraped out exposing tree roots ,rocks and stumps with ice and some loose granular snow. The open trails offer better skiing on granular snow and ice patches so technical turns on the natural snow trails and witnessed high speed flyers on the groomers. Over all ,significant snow loss that will require successive snowfalls to restore the base. However, more rain in the forecast on Tuesday .
