I skied. version of the K opening day report...

I hit the mountain at the crack of 11:00 and skied 'till about 2:30. The conditions were quite good for opening day. Skier's left of upper Double Dipper was nice all day with almost-western loose powder on it. The skier's right bump line on lower Rime was OK when nobody was standing on it.

Winter's finally here!

One trail section was all natural snow skiing (soft mid-winter-like packed powder)and the others a combination of natural and machine-made with good cover, some bumps, mostly soft snow (somewhat damp near the snowguns which blew most of the day). Several inches of natural snow was still on the ground and clinging to the evergreens. Access was via a pick-up truck ride to to/from the base of the Canyon Chair which was used to upload/download to/from the Glades triple.
