(Note from the Administrator: This report was originally posted on 11/14/99. Due to our move to new servers, the date and time attributed to this post is incorrect.)

Arrived in Ludlow late Friday night to 1" of snow in village, 3" at our house (elevation 1723').

Skied Okemo on Saturday and my son Josh and his friend got on the resort cam, snowboarding (not something his siblings will be proud of). Its the cam shot they are using for today (Sunday Nov 14). He's the one in front, if anyone wants to see. ( rsn.com, go to resort cams then to Okemo).

Okemo had good coverage on World Cup (upper and lower) Defiance, and Sapphire to Upper Arrow to Green Ridge Chair. You could ski all the way down to the bottom on the lowest part of the Mt road. 5 lifts operating, including the F-10 poma. I only skied for the free hour then went to watch son #2 Jason, play rugby. Josh boarded the whole day. He reports that moguls formed and were firm as the day progressed. Crowds were light and pretty spread out, with three ways down to mid-mountain lifts, and the one way down all the way. Top was in fog most of the day and temps were warmish. Prices jumped up a bit--$35 for adults, $30 for young adults, and $25 for junior/seniors. $10 coupons from last season were honored.

Today was dark and dank and then rain began around noon. While the family slept in, I cleared "Dudley's Drop" (my secret passage way down to the Shuttle Bus pick-up). All things ready for some snow.
