Figured the crowds would be nuts everywhere else so off to plattekill I go..brought the GF..she lodges very well. The place was busy., about as busy as it gets..which means a 2 minute wait..or none when you ski with the ski patrol...line cutting privelages are nice but not even needed here as most people ride the triple. With 4 inches of new overnight and 18 inches the week before..which was untouched since friday I would say this place might have had the best conditions...on the east coast..maybe??? Absolutely no ice at all which is more then I can say for my favorite place...yes it gets a little thin on the bumped up runs..but Blockbuster was pretty deep and plunge had the best moguls. Met up with rfarren..couldn't figure which where he was as there where several people with green jackets..so I just said..loudly.while waiting in line."can't figure out where he is in this sea of green jackets" that got his attention...got a few looks when he yelled out "kingslug"
Stayed at a super BB in Fleishmans an old converted mansion called Breezy Hill..this place was 4 star, incredible interior and grounds...and the food in the morning was super. Hit Platt again Monday and it was empty..and stayed that way all day..never more than 5 people on a run at a time. Only bummer was my $180.00 Oakly goggles broke..but they are fixable..gave me 5 years so far so can't complain.....
