Jay Peak, VT 03/02/11

In classic Jay Peak fashion, two inches of forecast precip turned into eight. A bunch of us are here for the first annual Northeast Ski Blogger Summit and are looking forward to possibly more snow tomorrow.

Besides the skiing, the base village is a big construction zone. More about this tonight.

I think this was my best pic of the week. Riverc0il as he skied away down Exhibition.


Mattchuck2 and I ducked into the trees on instinct I suppose. We had a great run.

But when we reemerged at the bottom of Exhibition, we found River and Sick Bird Rider absolutely beside themselves with glee.

We learned our lesson. Follow the River, when skiing Jay Peak.

Ha! I could not have pulled you down Exhibition, Harv! You had trees dancing in your eyes all three days. It is a rare treat to get nice pow on open slopes. The groomers are my favorite tree shot when they have +6" of blow... its just one really widely space tree run and you can let em' open wide.
