We got to the tram plaza about 10:15AM, a bit later than most of the Iron Blosam group. As it was warm and sunny we headed for Mineral Basin. First run out past Powder Paradise had abundant wind sift over smooth chalk.

At the bottom of Mineral we ran into Amy coming from Alta. By this time the southeast exposures were softening nicely. We skied a couple of chutes near the Baldy chair.

We also ran into BobbyD, rdwore and Colin and skied a couple of soft Silver Dipper runs. We then skied down Primrose to the Rendezvous for a late lunch. After lunch the local crew went back to Alta while Liz and I skied Rasta and Last Choice, then Gad 2 to STH.

Conditions were similar to several of my previous Iron Blosam trips. About 30% of the mountain retained winter snow conditions. Many other areas could be timed for optimal sun softening. 21,700 vertical today.
