Day 49: Spring today, Winter tomorrow.
With bright sunshine this afternoon and temperatures in the 60s in Salt Lake City I joined Skidog, Mira, Sima and Miki for five quick Collins laps at the very end of the day today. Spring had definitely sprung, and we enjoyed true spring snow on West Rustler with almost no one there.
Our five runs consisted of:
1. High Boy (one hell of a warmup! )
2. Jitterbug
3. Liftline/Saddle
4. High Stoner
5. High Boy LRP (of course!)
Standing atop High Boy at 4:45 with no one else around was almost ethereal - a great way to end the day.
How warm was it? This warm:
Tomorrow, however, things will change as the first storm breaks down the ridge followed by the big'un this weekend. Bring it on! It's way too early for these temperatures.
