The way it was going I thought we'd be lucky to be open for Christmas. But then a very vigorous early season storm came for a visit. There is plentiful snow in Bend, and almost 24" fell at Mt Bachelor. They've put the Winter Uphill Travel Policy into effect, so only the Cinder Cone is open for uphill travel. No worries, having enough to open later in the month is fine with me. Looks like a Wednesday, November 26 opening date. No snowmaking required.
