Day 4: wind damage.

I will be brief, as I prepare to head out for day 5. Yesterday was chilly, gray and windy. Several windy days over the holiday week and ample warm sunshine have totally jacked the snow surfaces. Yesterday was firm and stiff. It was nice, however, to be able to explore the countryside quite a bit more than we were able to last weekend. We did find some soft, creamy snow in the vicinity of Cabin Hill, Razorback, and Sugar Bowl.

Surfaces should improve markedly today as a cold front stalls over the area and delivers what is expected to be about 6 inches of new snow.

In the flat light, yesterday was not a day for taking pictures.
