TSV 1/29

Knowing full well that the snow was going to be similar to the previous day, I decided to head up and get some sun and snow.

As you can see from the pictures, moguls and groomers were much of the terrain.

Kachina peak skied quite well........the wind had done a number the previous nights and there were definitely some soft spots to be had. I didn't attempt any of the K2/K3 chutes because the traverse to get to them is apparently super boney. I found plenty to keep me occupied nevertheless.

The temperature topped at about high 30's........I scoured the mountain all morning looking to find where the wind had moved the snow. I was finding little spots all day long......

A huge added bonus for the day was the apres ski wine tasting at the resort center. For $25 , they had about 15 different reps/wineries......each pouring between 1-5 wines. Nice crowd of young and old -- maybe 100 people tops. Today's $75 event calls for 150 different wines .........suffice it to say......drinking at 9,200 ft can be dangerous............

See you on the slopes.
