Day 54: Powder day!
After Saturday's debacle and Sunday's cancellation, there was no way that I was going to miss the foot of new snow on Tuesday.
Hats off to Alta, which once again opened 10 minutes early on a powder day. Telejon and I ripped it up for two hours, and it was bottomless. The High T doesn't get any better than it was on Tuesday, allowing for full-speed access to untracked laps in Greeley Bowl. After finding Chartreuse Nose a bit wind-worked and disappointing, we once again found the goods in, of all places, Vail Ridge.
After I went back to work, Jon reported deep untracked snow in the gullies of Catherine's Area. All in all it was a return to winter, if only for a day or two.
