But with mid-winter snow, what's not to like?

I note Winter Park is open this weekend too. 3 areas should spread the crowds a little bit. Once it's only A-Basin, that's when it can get out of hand, like last Mother's Day.

Umm... spending an extra 30min on I70 in the morning from bumper cars ahead of me and lots of traffic? Especially annoying this late in the season.

So right after I originally posted at noon, the heavens opened up and it snowed anywhere from moderate to full-on dumping all afternoon. Probably picked up a good 4+ inches in the afternoon. Definite white room conditions most of the time. I was very surprised they kept the Ridge cat open. At least until it broke down at which point I hiked the entire ridge line as the last person allowed to enter the gate before patrol closed it off. Easily some of the best skiing of the entire season on my ridge runs (along with the skiing two weeks ago).

Wish I could go back up today, but too many things in the hopper. They didn't get much overnight, but currently snowing again in Denver and they will probably pick up some more today up there. Just fantastic conditions.
