Heavenly had trouble running lifts due to wind from storm starting to move in. By the time I went up Stagecoach at 9:45, Comet was still spinning, but had closed sign. I had already received a text that Dipper was on windhold. Since I had not heard anything about Mott, the reason I choose Heavenly, I skated towards it from East Peak lodge/Comet and Dipper base. I made it up about 2/3 of the flatter return from closed-this-season Galaxy chair before taking off my skis and boot packing. It's a lot of work to hike up slopes that you barely seem to be able to keep moving on going downhill. After about 30 minutes, I got past the top of Galaxy and verified that Mott was closed. I was hoping for country club skiing as wind in that area was not very high. At least by hiking up I was able to return to Stagecoach on NV trail on SE side of East Peak Lake where I could carry enough speed unlike the return from the NW side of Lake which probably every other customer stranded there did. When I got close to Stagecoach base, I received text that Comet and Mott were closed.

My lift rides were probably 9 times on Stagecoach, 3 times on Olympic before it went on wind-hold and 3 times on the shuttle from Boulder Base at 7200' to Stagecoach base at 7450'. I never timed the shuttle perfectly as I had 5-10 minutes wait, but also never just missed one which would mean 30 minute wait. The reason I used the shuttle was that both (excellent when I hit it early) Boulder Chute and (very good even after noon) North Bowl skied better for more vertical than anything else easily reachable from Stagecoach, especially after noon. I finished my day with a corn lap towards North Bowl chair, then down left side before moving to right side of Boulder Chute, being careful not to get too low and end up at Boulder base. I quit at 2 and my watch counted 18.2K. I received text that Stagecoach closed at 3. Skiing was better than expected for day without it being close to freezing overnight at Lake level.
Closed Mott lift that I hiked to
Monument Peak at 1035. It was a nice morning for a hike.
