Day one of my annual Guys trip

with my Brother and one other flying in a day early (most of the guys only ski 3 days after spending so much time flying and driving which is insane really). Copper had gotten ~17" over three days prior to our heading up, though I had heard Tucker had been closed during that stretch. With hopes of at least some powder (vs the only 5" over 3 days at ABasin for example), we headed up the Super B and t-Bar and straight down Lilly G for Tucker. Given their late night fly-in and my need to get Jr on the school bus before leaving we weren't exactly on first lift. We found (using old names), Fremont 1 closed off and Fremont 2-5 and the Taco area all cut up, very dense chowder. Clearly some denser than average snow fell but also wind affect and cold nights over 3 days affected things too. It was still fun and on our 3rd lap suddenly Fremont 1 opened up and while still very dense, being fresh meant it was consistent skiing for several laps. In total I think we had 7 or 8 Tucker laps before heading down for lunch. After lunch we did a few laps on other areas like Spaulding Bowl, Upper Enchanted Forest and Union Bowl, though the runs of the day were the first few laps in Fremont 1. Though I didn't take any pics till we had already done at least two laps of the best powder in Fremont 1.

Fremont 1 looks really nice, way more powder than I've seen on any lift served day this season. =D>
