Fernie had only 13 of 40 runs open with only minimal hard-packed snow on those runs. Reduced lift prices were in effect, which made for a very affordable if somewhat boring ski day. <BR> <BR>The good news was that it was warm, snowing lightly, and it wasn't difficult to avoid the rocks. Where "snow"making was in effect, it was pretty icy, but those areas were avoidable. <BR> <BR>I sure hope we get some snow in January...
