APRIL 2002 POWDER HONEYMOON IN B.C

We are die-hard Jay Peakers looking to book our honeymoon in B.C. for the 2nd/3rd week of April 2002.

We are looking for steep & deep POWDER.

Our initial thoughts were Whistler, Big White or Lake Louise.

Not into night life (after all we have seasons passes at Jay), just want the best Powder during the month of April. Also want ski-in/ski-out accommodations.

If anyone has any recommendations or let me know about their experiences (particularly Big White - I cannot find a lot of information from skiers of this mountain).

Thanks a million!!!!

Canada's snowfall declines quite a bit in April, so your odds for fresh are not that great at the lift-serviced resorts. Big White faces 2/3 south, and while Lake Louise has excellent north facing back bowls its snowfall is meager. I'd vote for Whistler, where your visit may also coincide with the World Ski and Snowboard Festival. If you want to make it a honeymoon to really remember, tack on 2 or 3 days with TLH Heliskiing, who will pick you up from either Whistler or Vancouver. I have detailed resort guides for all 3 resorts + TLH at http://members.aol.com/crockeraf/insdtrak.htm
