20 miles east of San Francisco is Mt. Diablo, rising 3849ft. Occasionally (once or twice a year) they get a dusting of snow. On Friday of last week, a cold storm blew through the Bay area, and after 3 days left more than a foot of snow from about 2200ft on up to the summit. On Sunday I took my randonee gear up and skinned to the top and took a few runs from the summit back down. It was a blast. <BR> <BR>A week later, the snow is still there, but not enough to ski. It was nice while it lasted.
