Sugar Bowl 3/4

It got just below freezing at Lake Tahoe lake level on Saturday night. By Sunday morning, there was a few inches of heavy wet stuff on the car. We headed to Sugar Bowl, partly for the elevation, partly to try to get part of the way back to the Bay Area. Chain controls on 80, slow traffic, heck we didn't get on the hill until 11:15. But overnight they had gotten at least 10-12 inches, lightly blown in to 15-20 in the trees. Overall excellent conditions, even got a few face shots in the heavy Sierra snow. It wasn't like Utah snow last weekend, but it was pretty darn good.

Driving back was another matter. Driving rain storm all the way. Travel times weren't bad, but that weather is heading for the Sierra. Should get at least a few feet out of that before this storm blows through. Tahoe is setting up nicely for the spring.
