I thought this would be an easy day after 3 at Alta/Snowbird, and this was true in the morning skiing groomers with my 11-year-old. After the obligatory gourmet pig-out lunch I skied a couple of runs in Empire Canyon with locals and then walked a bit to reach Ontario Bowl. It was overcast but warm, so Ontario's partially tracked glades were a bit heavy. On 3/17 it would have had outstanding powder without the competition I had at the Bird. The groomed runs on the upper chairs were all packed powder despite the warm weather.
