Sunshine Village, April 1

No April Foolls in this report. 4" of snow overnight after an obvious 6"+ the previous day. Fresh soft stuff everywhere. Conditions very good, though still some rocks showing through. Certain high traffic areas (bottom of the Angel traverse, lower section of the ski out, etc) very nice first thing in the AM but showing the effects of lots of traffic by late in the day. All alone on Goat's Eye until 11:30, I managed 16,000 vertical feet before 11 AM, 27,000 vertical feet by noon, and a total for the day of over 50,000 vertical in 29 runs. The longest line I stood in was about 5 minutes or less. Beautiful sunshine, too, though it was snowing in the AM for a while. The sun didn't really have an effect on the snow, and conditions remain powder/winter almost to the parking lot. There's lot's of life left in this season yet, despite the overall low snowfalls.
