Spent 10 days skiing the old legs off at Copper Mtn. Had all kinds of conditions from fresh powder to wet spring. The entire mountain was open with some of the best conditions of the year. Operations are being reduced with the arrival of spring in the high country. Copper is scheduled to close before the end of April. <BR> <BR>Stayed in 'Historic' Leadville which is about a 25 mile trip each way. (About 35 miles to Vail and Beaver Creek... 40-45 miles to skistoned and breakinleg) Leadville has the advantage of inexpensive lodging, restaurants, and gas stations. Disadvantage - the Altitude.
