04/08/01 Sunday skied at Aplental. Fresh new snow (4 inches or so). Temps ran from a damp and chilly 30 up to 55 when the sun came out. Most of Debbies Gold was closed for racing (Super G?) but the travers out to lower Nash was in great shape.
(Was with a skier who's only got this year on the snow, so wasn't able to get up top. Lots of folks coming down Nash and the snakedance outrun, so I;d guess it was in great shape also.) All the lower runs still have great coverage. Only saw 2 small patches of brownish snow in the common scrape spots. Last day of Operation is the 15th and Glenn Plake is scheduled to be there. --TomK 2 sticks.
-------------------------------------------
4/8/2001 - What great conditions! Sunday morning it was snowing with about 4" new over firm spring snow (not hard or crusty). Went up Hyak with the dog, met up with another guy from eburg and his 2 dogs. It was about 28 degrees and the snow was in
great shape. Coverage at Hyak is better then its been in a month and the snow conditions are super. The lifts are not running but this is a good time to hike up Hyak!
